Appliances
New appliances. Clearance inventory.
Appliances are one part of the changing inventory at Open Box Industries—not the whole store. The appliances we list are brand new and never owned unless a listing plainly says otherwise. Some units have cosmetic damage. Plenty have none.
Where the price break comes from
Overstock
A retailer or distributor ordered more than it needed. The appliance is new; the warehouse just needs the space back.
Discontinued models
The model number changed or a new finish arrived. Last year’s refrigerator does not stop being new when the catalog changes.
Canceled orders
A project changed, a customer never took delivery, or the wrong size was ordered. The unit was never installed or owned.
Freight and scratch-and-dent
A carton was crushed or a cabinet picked up a scrape or dent in transit. We photograph the actual unit and write down what we see.
Retailer closeouts and liquidation lots
Sometimes we buy a mixed lot from a retailer or distributor winding down inventory. That is one source—not the identity of the store.
What “brand new” means here
It means the appliance did not come out of somebody’s kitchen, garage, or rental. We are not selling used trade-ins. A box may be rough, a side panel may be scratched, or the unit may have been opened for inspection. The listing for that exact SKU tells you the condition and testing status.
